Forschungsansatz:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gesellschaften zu verstehen und zu gestalten hat es immer mit Widerspr\u00fcchen zwischen Ver\u00e4nderung\/Wandel und Stabilit\u00e4t\/Ordnung zu tun. Gesellschaftlicher Wandel ist also immer Chance und Konflikt zugleich. Ausgehend von dieser Grundeinsicht, soll ein nachhaltiger gesellschaftlicher Wandel unter der Beachtung folgender vier Dimensionen erforscht werden<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Transdisciplinarity and justice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
A central premise is that any design of social change is only necessary with the involvement of all actors when problems and topics are defined - namely all age groups (transdisciplinary research). We also assume that not all people want to or can actively participate in a social transformation at all times - for reasons of social equality and justice, the INGW tries to initiate advocacy research in order to include as many voices as possible from those addressed and affected in the discourse about a \u201cbig one \u201cTransformation\u201d to represent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reflexivity and criticism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wissen und Erkenntnisse generieren sich nur durch eine integrative Perspektive, die Struktur und Kultur verbindet. Jede Gesellschaft ist in materiellen Strukturdaten (Macht, Eigentum, Wirtschaftsleistung, etc.) repr\u00e4sentierbar und wird meistens durch normative Kulturverst\u00e4ndnisse gerechtfertigt und akzeptiert. Dabei ist davon auszugehen, dass die Sozialstrukturanalyse Ungerechtigkeit und soziale Ungleichheit empirisch aufzeigen kann, welche mit kulturellen Selbstverst\u00e4ndnissen in Konflikt stehen. Soziale Ungleichheit und soziale Gerechtigkeit sind treibende Verh\u00e4ltnisse, die \u00fcberwunden werden m\u00fcssen. Jede eigene Forschungsaktivit\u00e4t im INGW legt gro\u00dfen Wert darauf, die eigene Wissens- und Erkenntnisproduktion kritisch in Bezug auf die eigenen gesellschaftlichen Wirkungen zu befragen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Change means learning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Social movements as well as social orders are preceded by learning, upbringing and educational processes of people and groups. The focus of the INGW is therefore the investigation of individual pedagogical and collective socio-educational learning, upbringing and educational processes in relation to the change in cultural (self-)understandings, whereby the insight-leading perspective represents the increase in individual and collective self-determination in democratic-political concepts of order . For example, questions of individual motivation as well as questions about collective learning blocks in relation to social change and sustainability can be brought into focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Acting for a new era<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sustainability means turning assumptions about the future into starting points for concrete action in the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The core of all sustainability-related thinking, speaking and acting depends on people's ability to transcend the \u201creal\u201d and move in the \u201cspace of possibilities\u201d. Vision, utopias, dystopias, ideals, worldviews and beliefs are expressions of a \u201csocial imagination\u201d that still lacks the experience of a concrete everyday life. Social imaginations must penetrate the everyday world and become symbols, texts, images, plans or maps so that they can guide action and stabilize themselves in routines. The INGW is also interested in these transformations<\/p>\n\n\n\n
